Glastonbury Festival joins stoma-friendly society campaign

The Colostomy Association is proud to endorse the Glastonbury Festival in making its toilet facilities suitable for people with a stoma.

The Colostomy Association is currently campaigning to create a 'stoma-friendly society'. One of the main focuses of the charity's campaign is ensuring that toilet facilities at popular destinations and organisations across the country meet the additional requirements of people living with an ostomy.

Following conversations with the accessibility team, the Colostomy Association has endorsed the Glastonbury Festival for ensuring that its toilets meet the requirements of anyone living with a stoma.

Attendees with a stoma is entitled to use both the accessible toilets and shower facilities at Glastonbury Festival. Anyone with a stoma who would like to access these facilities would need to email the accessibility team ahead of the festival via disabledenquiries@glastonburyfestivals.co.uk.

Speaking about the endorsement, a spokesperson for Glastonbury Festival said: "We work hard to ensure the facilities we offer enable all our customers the chance to fully enjoy their Glastonbury experience."
