Donations via Payroll
Payroll Giving is an easy and tax efficient way to make a regular gift to the Colostomy Association to help us receive money for our work.
Payroll Giving allows employees, or occupational pensioners, to give money to any UK charity directly from their pay using PAYE. If your employer or pension provider operates a Payroll Giving scheme, charity donations can be deducted from your gross salary before tax. This has a double benefit - it costs the donor less and the charity receives more as the tax man makes up the difference.
To set up a regular gift, contact your employer’s payroll department. If they do not have a suitable scheme in place, they can set one up free of charge, simply by contacting an approved Payroll Giving Agency.
What is Payroll Giving?
Payroll Giving is a scheme that enables employees to give to any UK charity from their gross salary (before tax is deducted), and to receive immediate tax relief of up to £4 for every £10 donated. Many employers will also match the amount, so your donation could be worth even more.
Payroll Giving provides a charity with a regular, reliable donation, allowing the charity to plan ahead and budget for the future.
Quick and easy to set-up and administer, Payroll Giving is a great way for businesses to demonstrate commitment to the causes that their employees care about. It can also aid retention and recruitment of staff, and enable businesses to generate a sustainable income stream for charities.
Payroll Giving is an easy, tax-effective way to give to charity - so it costs employees less to give more. The system is easy to opt in or out, giving donors full control over their giving.
