Support the Colostomy Association on #GivingTuesday
Nov 25, 2015
Looking for an antidote to Black Friday? Enjoy some ethical Christmas shopping on 1st December and support the Colostomy Association as part of #GivingTuesday.
#GivingTuesday started in the United Kingdom in 2014 as an antidote to the start of the festive shopping season, which is kicked off by Black Friday sales and Cyber Monday shopping online.
More and more companies are bringing the Black Friday sales and the Cyber Monday online shopping spree to these shores. Shopping's great, but #GivingTuesday is a remedy to the pressures of Christmas spending and gives an opportunity to help the causes we all care about.
If you spend money online at Give as You Live, Toys R Us, Debenhams or Not On The High Street.com on Tuesday 1st December then you can choose for some of the profits to go towards supporting the work of the Colostomy Association.
Each year, the Colostomy Association provides support to over 21,000 people living with a stoma via our 24-hour helpline, quarterly magazine, Facebook support group, range of free literature and one-to-one volunteers. Any money raised on #GivingTuesday will enable us to support more of the 120,000 people estimated to live with a stoma in the UK.
So hold off your Christmas shopping for a little bit and make sure to support the CA on #GivingTuesday
